I applied for the job online. About a month later, I received a call for an interview. The interview questions were pretty basic, mostly asking about me and why I applied. The whole process was pretty quick and simple. I was offered a spot in their tax course to become a Tax Pro, which they said usually costs $199 but I'd have to pay $200 for books. They weren't very clear on whether I'd definitely get a job after the course or what my chances were, which made me wonder if it was a good opportunity or just a way for H&R Block to make money. The people I talked to were nice, though, and I felt good about the interview aside from the unclear details about the 'free' course and the book cost.

I applied online for a tax job, but got an offer for a temporary CSR role paying $9/hr. Even though the pay was low, I accepted the interview because I needed a job fast. I was on time and prepared for the interview, but the scheduled interviewer never showed up. Instead, a nice employee conducted a very casual interview with no difficult questions. I was told I'd get an email response in two days, but it's been over two weeks with no reply. This experience gave me a bad impression of the company; they seemed unorganized and unprofessional. I won't apply to them again.

The interview was pretty easy and straightforward, with questions that weren't too hard. It was a panel interview with three managers. Pretty standard questions for a senior customer service role.
