The whole thing took about two weeks. It started with an email from a recruiter, and we had a 30-minute call to see what they were looking for and if I fit the bill. They seemed like really nice people. If you make it past that initial chat, you then get a Zoom meeting with one of the MDs. I spoke with Valerio, who was fantastic. I got to show what I could do, but sadly, no offer came my way. They're on the hunt for folks with a lot of experience, and they ended up picking someone with more years in the field. Ultimately, experience is what counts.

The interviewers were nice and the questions were easy, but the process was incredibly unprofessional. There were multiple delays, and it took them weeks to respond. They wouldn't even offer feedback calls. They don't seem serious about running a streamlined process at all. They desperately need an HR function and some basic professionalism when handling recruiting. Candidates' time is valuable, and they clearly have no respect for people who walk through their doors. I heard some horror stories about how they treat staff, which continues the alarming trend of not respecting or valuing others.

The interview itself was easy but I definitely got the impression that they're looking for a "look" rather than a skilled candidate. I was told they wanted someone "polished" so I wore a nice suit and slicked my hair back. When I arrived, the receptionists were not exactly what I would call "polished." My first impression was that it was way less professional than I was expecting. It felt a bit like a hen house and I immediately got a vibe that it was more of a Brett Kavanaugh's assistant position situation. I waited for 15 minutes in a conference room by myself. The interview itself was no more than 5-8 minutes. I received a response about a week and a half later that they are not moving forward with filling the position.
