Implementation Analyst
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. There were only 2 rounds in total. The first round was with HR, and the second round was with the Hiring Manager. The interviewer was really nice and asked about my previous experience in warehouse management, communications, and conflict management. I was told to use the STAR method for answering the behavioral questions. I was close to getting an offer, but unfortunately, they ended up needing someone internal for the role due to an operational change.
- How would you resolve a conflict with your colleagues?
Stock Controller
I had a second interview at Bromford Gate, Birmingham, UK. The interview started at 7am with a rather unpleasant lecture from the interviewer about how using agencies is a waste of money. After that, the interview continued with the same questions as the first one, but with different interviewers. When asked about my availability to start at 7am, 8am, and 9am, I confirmed I could start at each of those times. The interviewer noted this down as 'flexible'. The next day, my agency informed me I was rejected because I wasn't seen as flexible. I explained my answers to the flexibility questions, but the agency has now dropped me.

The recruiter called without notice with a fuzzy voicemail about being shortlisted for a role. It was hard to get the callback extension. In my voicemail, I gave my availability for the next day, but she called outside of that timeframe. I was in a meeting but told her I could be available at 3:30pm. I asked if that time was okay, and she said she'd call then. She didn't. I waited 10 minutes and called her, but no answer. Then she called me back at 6pm! She had me go over my resume and asked questions already covered, like if I had warehouse training experience, even though I detailed my last 5 years of it. I ended the call when she mentioned the pay rate of $22/hr, which is way below my minimum expectation given my Master's degree.
- Can you describe your experience in a warehouse setting?
- Have you provided training within a warehouse environment?
