Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Guidepoint.
Recruitment Manager
The first round was an interview with a Recruitment Manager located in the states. It wasn't a difficult round but there was a lack of candidate preparation or guidance either on a document or verbally. They might miss out on some really talented people this way.
- Tell me about a recent training you conducted.
- Which reports do you utilize within Greenhouse?
Recruitment Manager
I had a phone screen with the HR Manager in London, followed by a call with the head of TA in America. During my conversation with the Head of TA, I asked about Guidepoint's stance on diversity and the hiring numbers for the remainder of the year in London. The response regarding diversity was dismissive, and she didn't have the hiring figures. This was peculiar given the earlier emphasis on rapid growth and hiring.
- What do you anticipate being the primary obstacle in this position?
- Could you describe the company's approach to diversity?
- What are the projected hiring figures for London this year?
Talent Acquisition
The interview process was clear, structured, and well-coordinated. Each stage involved relevant stakeholders who asked thoughtful, role-specific questions. Expectations were communicated transparently, and I appreciated the time-efficient approach, fast feedback, and professionalism throughout.
- Can you describe your past experiences and what motivates you?
