Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Guardant Health.
Software Engineer
They started with a technical written exam, then a multiple-choice quiz and a programming test online, all monitored by AI. After that, there was a technical interview and a managerial round. No practice exams were given. The recruiter was nice and replied quickly.
- Can you share details about your current experience?
- Could you also discuss your CTC?
Software Engineer Intern
I had one virtual, one-way interview, then a phone call with the recruiter. After that, there were two 30-minute technical interviews. I got the offer about two weeks after my technical interviews. The whole process took about a month.
- Could you tell me about your understanding of object-oriented programming?
- Do you have any questions regarding the basics of Java?
Senior Software Engineer
There were supposed to be 5 rounds in total, each 45 minutes long. But sometimes they merge the last 4 rounds into one if a panel is free. In my case, only 4 rounds happened. Before interviews, I got a 30-minute assessment with one basic DSA question and multiple-choice questions on JS, React, and Angular. The recruiter said at least 3 out of 5 rounds needed to be positive. Based on interviewers' feedback, I think Rounds 1, 3, and 4 went well out of the 4 that occurred. After the 4th interview, the recruiter ghosted me. The 5th round didn't happen, and they stopped replying to calls or emails. Very unprofessional.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What's the difference between runtime and compile-time polymorphism, and can you show it with code?
- What is the Virtual DOM in React?
