Account Manager
You'll speak with 3-4 individuals on Teams for the interviews. An HR person will reach out first, then you'll have a chat with someone about general stuff. After that, you'll meet with your potential boss, followed by a meeting with their manager.
- What is your proficiency with Excel?
Account Manager
The recruiter first reached out about 4 months after I applied online to schedule a phone screen. I had to follow up a couple of times before getting a response, which was a sign of what was to come. This company, especially my main contact, had serious communication issues. After each round – which included a couple of aptitude tests, a phone interview, and several video interviews – I was ghosted for weeks. I had to get creative to get any kind of update. I tried to be understanding due to the pandemic, but this was excessive. At one point, after not hearing back via email, voicemail, and text, I contacted a colleague of my main contact in HR. I thought maybe there were cutbacks due to the pandemic causing the lack of response. This finally got my contact to reply with multiple apologies for the poor communication. Later, after my final interview, I was ghosted again. My contact then claimed they had been trying to email updates, suggesting they might have gone to my spam folder, which I knew wasn't true. While I understand not every process ends with an offer, even with positive feedback, the lack of professionalism from HR was apparent. Little respect was shown to me as a candidate. Also, an interviewer mentioned wanting GSP to be more diverse, which I interpreted as potentially excluding older workers. I dodged a bullet.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with an unhappy customer.
Account Manager
I submitted my application online through a job board. A recruiter called me about 5 minutes after I applied for a phone interview. The recruiter explained that the hiring process was lengthy and advised me to avoid planning any trips because the in-person interviews were scheduled to take place in Florida. The recruiter also mentioned that they had been struggling to find suitable candidates for the role.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- How proficient are you with Excel?
