The interview process was great, starting with a recruiter call, then one round with the hiring manager, followed by a product sense interview, and then four additional behavioral rounds. Everyone I met during the process was amazing. I would have loved to join the company. The recruiter was also very nice.

The hiring manager reached out on LinkedIn, and we had a good initial conversation. Then, I spoke with HR about logistics, which also went well. Next was a SQL test. After getting positive feedback, I was told I'd move to a panel interview. However, after a long wait and some follow-ups, they informed me the role was filled. They did have another opening and asked if I'd be interested. Despite the poor communication being a concern, I agreed. The hiring manager for this new role was quite late and unapologetic, which was another red flag. They seemed disengaged, possibly looking at another screen, and provided brief, unhelpful answers. Their questions were vague, and they offered little guidance when I asked for clarification, signaling poor communication skills. When asked about their experience at Grubhub, their response lacked enthusiasm. Following this call, I told HR I was no longer interested. HR contacted me for feedback from the hiring manager, which was constructive. They also asked for my feedback, which was a nice touch and ended the process on a more positive note, showing they value candidate experience.

Behavioral Technical

The company seems like a fun, fast-paced place to work, but the communication with HR was a major issue. It took about a month to get any updates, even when I was still being considered. After the final interview, I had to follow up multiple times to learn that they weren't moving forward with my application. They really need to improve their communication.
