Account Manager
I went through two rounds of interviews. The managers I spoke with were very approachable and made the experience straightforward and easy. It was one of my favorite interviews because they were easy to get along with.
- Describe a situation where your unique approach differed from your team's, and resulted in a successful outcome.
Senior Account Manager
Started with a recruiter phone screening. Then, I had a panel interview with three managers. It wasn't too tough, and they didn't ask many situational questions or do any role-playing.
- Can you share an instance where you didn't close a sale?
Corporate Account Manager
The interview process started off great, then just stopped with no explanation. I first spoke with a recruiter and really connected. Then I had phone interviews with two hiring managers separately, and it felt like a good connection with both. I was then asked to come in for a presentation. The presentation topic was intentionally broad to see how I would handle it. I put it together like I would have at my last job. In the office, I presented to three hiring managers. One was impressed and said I was well-prepared. The other said she liked it, and when I asked for feedback, she said she had none, which I found odd but thanked her. I then had a more casual chat with an Account Manager, who was personable and explained the role well. I thought it all went really well. After the interview, there were no next steps provided. A week later, I followed up with the recruiter and got a generic email saying I wasn't being considered. I asked for feedback, but got nothing. I emailed a hiring manager for feedback, and still nothing. It's surprising that a company like GrubHub, that partners with Glassdoor, would ignore a candidate asking for feedback. I'm glad I didn't get the job, as I wouldn't want to work for a company that treats candidates like this.
- Tell me about your hobbies.
