Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Grow Therapy.
Recruiter
I interviewed with the hiring manager, then had a panel with the team, and a final talk with the Head of People. The process started with a lot of urgency, they wanted to move fast and had me schedule interviews immediately. I moved other things around for it, expecting a quick decision like they said. But then the urgency vanished after the interviews, and six weeks later, still no word. Not closing the loop after pushing for speed and commitment is unprofessional and a waste of people's time.
- Can you share an instance of a hiring mistake you made and the lessons you took away from it?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
Applied online and got invited to interview the following week. The first interview went well, then I was asked to do a lengthy, unpaid take-home assessment. I put a lot of effort and time into it and submitted it before the 48-hour deadline. I emailed for an update the next week and was told to wait for an update by the end of the week. On Monday of the following week, I received a generic rejection email from a no-reply address. I replied to the original interview correspondence asking for feedback on my assessment and was ignored. I had a negative experience and don't think it's appropriate to send a generic rejection after being a few steps into the process. Based on my experience and others, Grow Therapy doesn't seem to care about candidate experience.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Recruiter
The whole process was super quick and easy! It started with a recruiter screen call, then a take-home assignment, and finally, three interviews to wrap things up. From start to finish, it took about three to four weeks. The recruiter was really open about everything and let me know what to expect right from the get-go.
- Can you explain how you partner with Hiring Managers in your role as a Recruiter?
