Product Manager
My interview experience with Grow Therapy was quite disappointing. It kicked off with a substantial take-home assignment before I even had a chance to talk to the hiring manager. While I get that case studies are standard, this felt like a lot of work without a preliminary chat to see if we were a good fit. When I finally met the hiring manager, the discussion was almost entirely case-based, with minimal focus on my background or career aspirations. The process continued with several more rounds. The biggest hassle was scheduling; despite informing them about my travel plans in advance, I was asked to rearrange my personal schedule to fit their timeline. It seemed like they were in a hurry, even though they expected a lot of time and flexibility from candidates. To make matters worse, the rejection email used the wrong name. Overall, the entire experience felt impersonal and disorganized.

Product Manager
It was a really long and drawn-out process, felt kind of negative overall. They rescheduled a few times and there were 2-3 weeks between interviews. I had 7 interviews in total, each about 30-45 minutes, spread over about 2 months. All the interviews involved case studies or exercises, which was good. I was told the last interview was finished and that the HM was checking references, but then there was a surprise presentation interview. I think they were unsure and wanted to see more skills. I didn't get an offer, so maybe my presentation wasn't what they needed. The process included a recruiter screener, a hiring manager call, a technical PM interview focused on healthcare data, a data modeling/fluency interview about metrics, a behavioral interview about working with others, a product sense case study for new LinkedIn features, and a panel presentation about a past product. Overall, it took a lot of time and felt like the team was indecisive. Also, a recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn as if he didn't know me, asking me to apply for a job. My interaction with the recruiter felt impersonal, like they were too busy or not engaged.

I got referred to Grow Therapy by someone on the design team. They contacted me quickly to set up my first interview. The process began with a 15-minute screening, followed by several skill-based interviews. I had a total of 5 interviews: a product strategy case study, a technical surface interview, a data fluency interview, a behavioral assessment, and a business impact & revenue management interview. It was a great experience overall! The interviews were tough but fitting for the role, and everyone was super welcoming and seemed to genuinely want me to succeed. My only suggestion would be to ask more about what each interview covers so you can prepare better. I was a bit hesitant to ask, but looking back, they would have been totally fine with giving more details. They responded fast and the process moved along quickly; it took about 4 weeks because of my schedule, but it could have been shorter.
