Sales Manager
So, the process had 3 rounds. First, a recruiter call and then a chat with the hiring manager. Next up was shadowing a sales person, which was pretty interesting. Lastly, I had a final interview with someone from the C-suite.

Sales Manager
I had a really good time interviewing with GMS. It began with a quick recruiter screen, then a virtual interview with an RVP, followed by a few hours in the office meeting the team, and then a final virtual chat with the higher-ups. The whole process was pretty simple and honest, and they were really clear about what the job would be like and what needed to be done. It felt more like a conversation, and they were trying to see if the role was a good fit for me just as much as I was trying to see if it was a good fit for them. They were super open about why they were hiring for this role, the current situation in the office, and their goals, which was really helpful. Most of the questions were about personality, behavior, and different situations, and they were all related to what this specific office needed. The base pay was a bit lower than what's typical in my area, but the job had a long-term payout that grew over a few years. I didn't get the job because I would have needed to be at the top of their base pay range, and I have a SAAS background, but they seem to prefer candidates with experience in third-party HR and benefits management.

Sales Manager
It was pretty relaxed, not super tough. I was concerned though because they didn't seem to have a handle on competitive insights and were paying way below market for this industry, plus their approach felt old-fashioned. I decided not to continue after the third step.
- What is your understanding of the PEO industry?
