First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Groove, a Clari Company.
Product Support Specialist
I did 4 interviews over the course of a month. The first was with a recruiter, the second with the product support team manager, the third was a 2-hour session with various people from different roles, and the fourth was with a VP of Customer Success. I didn't get the job, and when I asked for feedback, they said they found someone better but didn't offer specific advice. It feels like a lot of wasted effort and time on my part. I think the process could be streamlined for quicker company decisions and to be more helpful for job seekers who might turn down other opportunities to interview with Groove. I wish them well.
- Can you introduce yourself and tell me about your background?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Product Support Specialist
The interview process took 4 weeks. I started with a Zoom call with a recruiter who had their camera off, which was odd. I passed that and spoke with the VP of Customer Experience in the second round, which was a good chat. The third round was a 2-hour session with 4 employees who seemed to think I was a good fit. I got through to the final round, a conversation with the CEO. Initially, the CEO was friendly, but then asked some unexpected questions. I tried my best, but I could tell he lost interest. It would have been helpful if the recruiter had given me a heads-up about this interview, as I thought it was just a casual chat after the more formal previous rounds. Sadly, I got an email five days later saying I was unsuccessful, which left me confused given the positive reviews for Groove. The recruitment process felt unprofessional and disorganized at times (they even got the time zones wrong), unlike other companies I've interviewed with.
- What's something you've enjoyed learning about recently?
- Can you tell me about two areas you're looking to develop?
Product Support Specialist
The interview process was pretty smooth and they were really considerate about time zone differences, willing to meet halfway. It began with a quick, kind recruiter call, then an assessment, and a manager interview. The final round involved a chat with four accommodating team members who were great listeners. Even though I didn't get the job, the experience was positive and felt worthwhile.
- Tell me about situations you've encountered that are relevant to this product support role.
