I spoke with the recruiter first, and that went well. The next step was a call with the commercial sales manager. She was a little late for the call and only asked me about two or three questions. She mentioned that her only concern was my lack of experience selling into Financial Services, even though I have five years of SaaS sales experience and could learn. Two hours later, the recruiter called to say they weren't moving forward. I asked the recruiter for feedback, and he shared a few reasons the manager didn't select me, which weren't discussed in the interview. He couldn't provide a solid answer when I pointed this out. It feels like I interviewed for nothing and was rejected for unclear reasons, especially since she didn't ask about my background or why I'd be a good fit. I wonder if the interview was just to meet a quota.

I did 4 interviews over the course of a month. The first was with a recruiter, the second with the product support team manager, the third was a 2-hour session with various people from different roles, and the fourth was with a VP of Customer Success. I didn't get the job, and when I asked for feedback, they said they found someone better but didn't offer specific advice. It feels like a lot of wasted effort and time on my part. I think the process could be streamlined for quicker company decisions and to be more helpful for job seekers who might turn down other opportunities to interview with Groove. I wish them well.

I had a great overall interview experience. Everyone was kind and intentional from the initial interview process through the offer stage. I enjoyed getting to know everyone on the team. There were several steps starting with an initial screening with the recruiter, then a video interview with the Hiring Authority, then a virtual on-site, and a final meet and greet with the CEO. Everyone asked great questions and helped me to really understand the company and it’s core values.

The interview process involved a call with the CTO, a technical phone call, and then an onsite interview. It's a pretty standard process, though I didn't appreciate how blunt they were with their feedback. My initial impression of the company was positive until that feedback. Onsite, there's a one-hour exercise where you work with their codebase.
