Business Development Representative
The interview process was simple and straightforward, with several rounds. First, I chatted with the Recruiter, then the Hiring Manager, and finally had a discussion with the VP before moving forward.
- How do you handle feedback?
Business Development Representative
I'm still in the middle of the interview process, but I had to share how impressed I am with this Company and its people. I found Grin while looking for new tech to help businesses connect with their target audiences. With Apple's IOS privacy changes and Google following suit, it's gotten harder for companies to reach customers. Grin's innovative tech solves this problem β it's the future! I reached out to a recruiter named Nyra on LinkedIn with my resume. She forwarded it to different teams, and soon after, Sarah from sales contacted me to set up an interview. Sarah's a great conversationalist, and her passion for the company's mission was really inspiring. After our chat, I got a PI cognitive and behavioral assessment, which was cool because I learned about my strengths and confirmed areas I've been working on. The next steps involve completing a formal application, then a video interview with a BDR Manager (45 min) and some BDR team members (30 min). Before that video round, I have to do a written exercise. Finally, there's a presentation for everyone I've interviewed with. I'm not sure what will happen next, but I'm really hoping to get a spot on this team! π
- What makes you want to join Grin?
- What's your understanding of Grin?
- How do your skills align with this role?
Business Development Representative
GRIN really prioritizes culture fit. I've interviewed at a lot of B2B SAAS companies, and this one is uniquely focused on personality over objective KPIs, which is a bit odd because everyone seems to have the same personality. They're looking for these granola, crunchy, west coast, 'chill vibe' people who really buy into GRIN's vision. The interview process has 4 steps. First, an HR screening with an aptitude and personality written test. Second, a written BDR email test to assess your prospecting skills. Third, a team BDR interview where you meet two BDRs and the BDR manager. Fourth, a final interview involving a presentation to the head of sales and other higher-ups. If you're the type of person who volunteers and enjoys a laid-back SoCal vibe, this place might be for you. They really have a specific type of person in mind, so make sure you fit that mold if you're applying.
- Can you tell me about your growth mindset?
- How coachable are you?
