This was possibly the most uncomfortable interview experience I've ever had. I was interviewed via Skype by three people, and it was clear they weren't comfortable using Skype for interviews. The recruiter was on the side of the screen, asking me questions, but I couldn't see her face at all. The other two were managers, and they were both standing the whole time. It was weird, but what was worse was the computer was on a low table, meaning the camera angle was incredibly awkward, and I couldn't see any of their full faces. You'd think the recruiter would at least know how to position the camera properly for an interview. In addition to not being able to see anyone's face clearly, it was obvious they hadn't prepared any questions or perhaps hadn't even read my resume. There were some awkward silences, and multiple times I had to liven up the quiet by asking my own questions. By the end of the interview, I had more questions than they did. The whole situation was very awkward, and I felt more nervous than usual because of the situation's discomfort. Naturally, I didn't get the job. However, given the lack of preparation and organization in the interview, I'm not disappointed.
