First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Greenlight Financial Technology.
Staff Engineer
It was a two-round process, starting with a screening round and then a peer coding round. Honestly, I suspect this interview process might have been just to stay active in the market, as I managed to answer every question posed, yet they still decided not to proceed with my application.
- Can you compare UIKit and SwiftUI?
- Regarding UIKit and SwiftUI, what are your thoughts on data flow, navigation, and architecture?
Senior Software Engineer
I went through two interview processes. Both were very smooth and communication was great. The first interview process comprised of a recruiter screening, hiring manager interview, technical coding challenge and then a panel/multi-interview day (technical Q&A, Systems design, Director interview, values interview and a hiring manager wrap-up). I wasn't selected for this position. My second interview process consisted of a recruiter screen, hiring manager interview and then another systems design interview. I was then presented with the offer.
- They are open about the technical challenges you'll be presented with, which is such a nice change.
Business Systems Analyst
I had two interview processes over about six months. The first time, it felt like way too many steps. There was an HR call, then I talked to the hiring manager, and after that, a panel interview which was actually like four interviews in one – one with the team, one about culture, one with senior management, and a final chat with the hiring manager. It all happened within a week, but I didn't get the job. The second time around, for a similar job with the same manager, they sped things up. It was just an HR call and then an interview with both the hiring manager and senior leaders together. Still didn't get the offer though.
- Tell me why you believe you are suitable for this position.
Customer Service Specialist
I submitted my resume and then got an online assessment to complete. After that, the recruiter called me to see if I was okay with splitting my time between remote and in-office work once the building is ready. She also went over my past experience and asked about what salary I was expecting. Then, I had a two-hour Zoom interview with four different people, with about 30 minutes spent with each. One of those interviews focused on seeing if I'd be a good cultural fit based on Greenlight’s values. After all that, the recruiter called me back with a job offer.
