First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GRASSI.
Tax Associate
I met them at Queens College in the fall before I graduated. I introduced myself and gave them my resume. After graduating in the spring with my bachelors, I called them for a phone interview. They mentioned they prefer someone with a masters. I looked at their directory and noticed most of their partners only have bachelors degrees, including the founder. It's hard to believe the founder wouldn't qualify for an entry-level position at his own firm. This makes me think the HR person had a personal issue with rejecting me.
- Do you have a masters degree?
Tax Associate
Since I interviewed during COVID, the entire process was over Zoom. First, I spoke with the HR manager who asked me some basic background questions. Then, I had another interview with some other employees. The first person there asked about my background and previous work. The second person asked me about myself and what hobbies I do.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Can you tell me about your work background and experience?
- What hobbies do you participate in?
Tax Associate
The interview was with supervisors and managers. They all seemed really nice and like people I could work with. I was excited because I got an offer soon after the interview finished. The questions weren't that hard.
- Can you tell me about your education?
- Let's discuss busy season.
