Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Graphic Packaging International.
Intern
It was a standard phone behavioral interview, not too difficult. An HR representative and a plant manager were present. To get ready, you should have answers for common interview questions and be prepared for situational questions that assess your decision-making skills.
- Can you tell me about a challenge you faced and how you overcame it?
Intern
I was brought in for a 15-minute 1:1 interview on a Friday where they asked me to walk them through my resume and experience. Later that same evening, I was contacted for a second round scheduled for the following Monday. This second round was a panel interview featuring a VP of Operations, an SVP of Finance, and an SVP of Supply Chain. The interview went very well; they were quite polite and clear about what they wanted to ask.
- Are you able to commit to the project's duration?
- Can you tell me about your experience using SAP systems?
Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward, focusing on skills and situational questions. It typically involves the Hiring Manager and HR. They'll explain the overall interview process and then let you ask some relevant questions.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What would you say are your strengths?
