Noise and Vibration Engineer
When discussing salary with HR during a job switch, it's important to be professional, confident, and strategic. Here are some key points you can say: 1. Express Appreciation First "I appreciate the opportunity to discuss this role and the compensation. I’m excited about the potential to contribute to your team." 2. State Your Expected Salary Based on Market Research "Based on my experience, skills, and market standards for this role, I am expecting a salary in the range of X to Y. I believe this aligns with my expertise and the value I can bring to your organization." 3. Highlight Your Value "Given my experience in [mention key skills or domain expertise], I am confident that I can add significant value. I have successfully handled [mention relevant projects], which aligns well with this role’s responsibilities." 4. Be Open but Firm "I am open to discussion, but I would like to ensure the offer is competitive and aligns with industry standards. Could you share the best package you can offer?" 5. Negotiate Other Benefits If Needed If salary flexibility is limited, negotiate for additional benefits like bonuses, stock options, joining bonuses, or flexible work options. "Apart from the base salary, I’d also like to understand benefits such as performance bonuses, learning opportunities, or other perks your company provides." Would you like help structuring this based on your current CTC and expected hike?
- Can you tell me about your specialized field and what you do in it?
Intern
First, there was an online aptitude test that lasted an hour. Then, we had an offline coding assessment for 25 minutes, followed by another offline test for logical reasoning, also 25 minutes. After that, there was a group discussion where topics were based on candidates' resume projects. Finally, a technical interview and an HR interview were conducted.
- Questions mainly about my projects from my resume.
Software Engineer
I applied through college placements, and out of 300 students, 80 were called to the company for a pen and paper test. (I cheated in the first round, that's why I got a chance to give the pen and paper test). It included C++ output-based questions, which I was unable to do, and only 10 students went to the interview, and finally, 1 guy got selected (which was not me).
- What are the outputs of these C++ code snippets?
- Explain Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Tell me about your projects.
Working Student
I had a really bad interview experience at Grapecity. The interviewer was super negative and kept putting me down, always looking for mistakes and saying insulting things. My friends with great coding skills and projects had the same problem; they were insulted and accused of copying, and their skills were dismissed. It felt like they wanted to control the situation instead of working together. The interviewer also said DSA is a waste of time and too simple to be useful.
- Can you show me your 10th grade marks?
- Did you plagiarize this project?
- Why is there a gap in your education?
