I was first reached out to by an external recruiter and spoke with them on the phone two times. These calls were for basic pre-screening to see if I was a good fit. After that, I had another phone call with an inside recruiter from Granite. On this call, we discussed what I was looking for in a job and company, and also compensation. It was straightforward. Next, I had a zoom interview with both the Senior Account Manager and Manager of Premier Accounts. This was the last interview before I received an offer. The interview lasted about 40 minutes.

From what I gather, most new hires at Granite have to start out with a temp agency, working for them for about 3 months before Granite offers them a permanent job. The actual interview part was pretty simple. I had a roughly 20-minute chat with someone experienced at the company, and then a short, about 3-minute, interview with a manager. My temp agency suggested taking notes and really studying the company website, but it's not complicated: they're a telecom wholesaler. They get deals on services from big phone companies and then handle all the admin and billing. You should know their products, what 'Premier' signifies, and how you can convince them you're good at dealing with tough customers.

An external recruiter reached out after finding my resume online and set up an interview with Granite Telecommunications. I first spoke with an internal recruiter for a preliminary interview. We had good chemistry and I felt good about my answers. The hiring manager was a different story. They barely looked at me and wrote down everything I said. I left feeling like I didn't do well.
