It was a really nice and easy interview process. There were 3 teachers, the assistant principal, and the principal. They asked me questions one by one and wrote down my answers. The questions were straightforward, mostly about how I'd handle certain situations. It was a very relaxed environment and everyone was super friendly. I got a job offer over the phone about 30 minutes after I left.

I made the initial call and talked about the classes I'd be interested in offering and we set up a meeting. When I got there for the meeting, I was taken to the Coordinator's office where another employee was present for the interview. We talked about the classes and agreed to move forward with offering them. After that, the clearance and paperwork process started.

I had a super short interview, like only 3 minutes, which was the worst experience I've had in years! I really wanted to work in this district because of where it is and its size. I spent 2 days preparing, practicing for common teacher interview questions about students (ELLs, behavior), parent communication, professional learning communities, my skills, lesson planning, district standards, statistics, and I even researched the area and the district. The Principal called and asked just two questions, then ended it really quickly saying they had tons of applicants. It felt rude and unprofessional. I guess they might have already hired someone and didn't want to cancel, or maybe this is just how they interview teachers with only two questions. It was really odd and upsetting, and felt like a waste of my time.

Got put into a big group of people looking for jobs, and then they called us individually for interviews at different schools. They asked really general questions. Everyone in the group interview took turns asking a question, and at the end, they said they'd let us know. They use the same questions for every job, so it didn't feel like they were trying to get to know us because the answers are easy to memorize and sound like there's a 'right' way to answer.

  • How do you cater to diverse learning needs within your classroom setting?
