I went through several rounds of interviews for this role, talking with many team members over about 4 months. The process ended with a reference check, which usually means a decision is near. But after my references were contacted, I got an automated rejection email with no feedback, after a long silence and no replies from HR. Asking for references is a big deal, as it uses professional reputation and should only happen when a company is almost ready to hire. Following that with a generic automated rejection shows poor hiring practices and disrespect for candidates' time and networks. Also, the job keeps getting reposted by the hiring manager and team members, which makes me wonder about their internal agreement and decision-making. Candidates should know that even progressing late in the process doesn't guarantee they are seriously considering hiring.

It was a video call with the recruiter for like 25 minutes, then an online assessment I did in about 40 minutes. After that, a video call with the hiring manager that was around 45 minutes. Then I had a study case exercise that took me a few days to finish. The last step was a panel interview with about 4 people from different teams that lasted an hour. The whole process took almost 2 months, and then they sent an email saying they are putting the position on hold until 2023.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process was straightforward, fair, and they communicated well. I liked how direct they were about what they needed from me and gave me chances to say what I needed from them to see if we were a good fit.
