A recruiter reached out and scheduled an HR phone screen for me. The HR person and I had a good conversation. I'd read a lot of negative Glassdoor reviews beforehand and asked her about them and the employee rating process. She brushed them off, so I agreed to the in-person interview. The interview day involved a group interview, and then I had three one-on-one meetings scheduled. The group interview experience was pretty standard, like others have described. What wasn't mentioned as much was the mandatory offsite day for new hires and annually for all employees. This felt really cult-like to me. New hires go to a farm owned by the company owners in NH for what seems like indoctrination, including ropes courses and trust falls, as part of evaluating new hires at all levels. All employees have to return annually and are constantly monitored, rated against peers, and publicly shamed if they don't perform well. I finished the group interview but felt so uneasy that I just wanted to leave. Still, I met with the scheduled interviewers. After leaving, I told the recruiter I wasn't interested in Grand Circle, so I don't know about follow-up times.

Started with a phone screen with HR. Then, a group interview with 8 people total. We were split into 2 teams to build a vessel out of straws and tape that could hold an egg without breaking when dropped. We also had to make up a story about the vessel and present it to the group. The egg vessel part was weird, but the rest of the group interview was insightful. We found out immediately if we passed the group stage. The next step was meeting with the hiring manager and some team members, which was pretty standard. My main issue was the lack of communication; it took 2.5 months to hear back, which seems common now, but Grand Circle claims to be different.
