I had a call screening. The screener had to reschedule last minute, which is fine. When we finally connected, she asked about my education. I answered honestly. She then put me on hold for 45 minutes to check with the hiring manager. I emailed her to check in, and she said she'd get back to me. We went back and forth for 3 days about the education requirements (which were listed as preferred, not required, on the job posting), and I showed I met the minimum. Then she ghosted me. Very unprofessional, I won't pursue this further even if they reach out. What a waste of time.

The interview process for the Account Executive role had 3 rounds. First was a quick 15-minute call with the recruiter. Then, there was an hour-long call with the University Development Manager. The final round was a one-hour Zoom interview where I had to give a 7-10 slide PowerPoint presentation detailing a 30/60/90 day business plan, including how I'd hit enrollment goals for the territory. They also wanted stats on the target market for GCU’s programs and the resources I'd use to find that data. A challenging part was including points of contact in the market, though they allowed me to use just their position/title if I wasn't comfortable naming them. It felt like a lot was asked of candidates, and it was disappointing to get an automated rejection after putting in so much time, especially without any feedback on the presentation.

A recruiter reached out to me and we set up a Zoom call. It was a 30-minute video interview and the recruiter was nice.
