A recruiter reached out to me first. After that, I had two phone interviews. The interviewers had really different approaches and what they were looking for. They went deep and were really thorough, asking for lots of stats. Overall, it was a pretty fair interview.

I applied online and a recruiter called me. We spoke and she seemed to think I wouldn't make enough money there. She sent me a detailed form to fill out and return within 24 hours if I was still interested. I completed it in detail and sent it back. A few days later, another recruiter emailed me. He mentioned an internal candidate had the inside track but I should hear about next steps soon. I followed up with no response. I eventually got a form email saying I wasn't selected. It was frustrating because the recruiter knew about the internal candidate all along but still had me do the form.

So I went through 3 phone interviews and then 2 in-person ones. All on separate days. I was actually feeling pretty good about it, thought I was gonna get an offer. But after that 5th interview, I waited like a whole week, no call, no email. I had to chase them down to find out I didn't get the job. So frustrating, man. Took forever and I put in a ton of prep time, like I had to turn down other interviews because I was so focused on Grainger. Total of 5 interviews with them.
