After I applied, I first spoke with the VP I would have been reporting to. Then I had three interviews with my peers. To wrap things up, I met with the VP again. The VP wanted to see if I'd be a good cultural fit and if my vision aligned with the role since it was totally new. The first peer interview was to check my strategic skills, the second one was about my technical abilities, and the last peer interview was about my cultural fit.

So, the recruiters at Grafana Labs are kind of a miss. This job I applied for has been open for like 3 months, which was a bit weird, but I went for it. HR reached out the next day to set up a chat, then I talked to the hiring manager, and then did the final interviews. After that, I heard nothing for a few days before getting a generic rejection email. I asked HR for feedback and was ghosted. Wondering if they'll ever hire someone for this role?

The Grafana recruitment team reached out after I applied to schedule a call. The recruiter missed our first scheduled interview, and after I followed up, they apologized later and rescheduled. The rescheduled call happened, and the recruiter didn't even apologize for missing the first one. We had a good conversation, and I seemed to fit what they were looking for. The recruiter said I'd move to the next step and explained the process. However, I never heard back after that, even after I followed up a week later. The recruiter seemed very unprofessional for such a big company. I wish I'd checked reviews first.
