The interview process was pretty straightforward, with about 4 to 5 steps. It started with a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a take-home project and its review. I think there was one more interview, possibly behavioral or some other non-technical chat. Everyone I interacted with was great, especially the recruiters. Sadly, I got rejected after they reviewed my take-home project. My solution was technically sound, but they felt it wasn't 'perfect' and pointed out areas that could be optimized. I did improve it and answered all follow-up questions, but they still rejected me, and unfortunately, with no feedback. I feel they were being excessively picky, and it's a shame because it felt like a real missed opportunity.

The process was quite straightforward, with multiple rounds of interviews. It included a take-home challenge where I had to work with a messy React application that involved a form for calculations. The challenge also required me to identify and improve two out of four suggested areas in a README file. Everyone I met was very friendly. I didn't get the job in the end.

Grafana Labs has a thorough interview process, taking over a month and involving five distinct stages. It kicked off with a recruiter chat. Then, I had a behavioral chat with an Engineering Manager from the 'On-call' team. After that, a technical test was followed by a Q&A with two developers. Next up was a presentation about my past project, given to two other team developers. The process wrapped up with another behavioral chat, this time with a DevOps engineer on the team. I was really impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly everyone on the team was. I was super keen to join, especially after getting through all five stages. Sadly, I didn't get the job. I wish I'd gotten more detailed feedback, given how much time I put in over the month. What I got was a short message saying they weren't hiring me, with no clear reasons, which left me with questions. I kind of thought they'd have decided by the end of the fourth round. The last stage felt redundant, like the second stage, and just made the process drag on without adding much. It took another week, which in hindsight, was a bit of a time sink. Despite being bummed, I have to say the team was great to talk to, and I could totally see myself working with them. But for such a long interview, I feel like they should offer more in-depth feedback.
