The interview process felt long and the steps weren't very clear. Grafana definitely has great tech and really smart people, but their hiring process for sales roles could be more decisive and transparent. It involved multiple interviews and discussions, and they kept adding new steps late in the game even after we had already agreed on things. It felt like we were close to an offer a few times, but then new people or meetings would pop up without a clear reason why they were needed to make a decision. I decided to withdraw because, after several interviews and a challenge, it didn't make sense to keep going without a clear go/no-go decision.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

This interview process took weeks and involved a lot of effort, around 40-50 hours of prep. It included multiple calls, a personality test, and 4 or 5 interviews. I talked to the recruiter, the hiring manager, sales leadership, presales, a panel of 3 managers, and then had a final sales interview. The hiring manager gave some tips on where to focus, but it still felt like a lot. I had to really know the tech and their go-to-market stuff to move forward. One sales leader was pretty unprofessional, abrasive, and dismissive, which made me hesitant to think about working with them. For the last interview, I had to do a deep dive on 5 accounts I'd target and explain how I'd get into them, which felt like free consulting. They need to focus more on solving client needs and leading from the front instead of micromanaging. Overall, it was a really bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Behavioral Presentation

The hiring manager reached out to me on LinkedIn! The whole process was really smooth and easy, and they got the interviews scheduled quickly. I ended up having around 5-6 interviews. I talked to the HM, the VP of sales, did a sales presentation in a panel interview, chatted with the COO, and then finally HR. I really appreciated the feedback they gave, it was so honest. Everyone was great and supportive the whole time.
