First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Grady Health System.
Registered Nurse
I applied online and about a week later, HR reached out to confirm my interest. They mentioned they'd pass my application to the hiring manager. Two weeks after that, the unit manager contacted me to set up an in-person interview for that same week. On the interview day, I waited in the hospital lobby and was then escorted upstairs to the unit by a staff member. In the hiring nurse manager's office, I was interviewed by both the manager and another staff member. A week after the interview, I received an email with two online assessments to complete. Roughly a week after finishing those, HR called with a job offer.

- Could you share an instance where you handled a challenging patient interaction?
Registered Nurse
The interview process was really thorough and they did a great job setting it up. I really liked how professional they were, how clear they were with communication, and how welcoming it felt the whole time. It was a good chance to talk about my experience and find out more about the place.
- Can you share an instance where you advocated for your patient within an interdisciplinary setting?
Registered Nurse
It was a panel interview for a new grad RN residency. I had mentioned critical care as my area of interest. While I had a specific ICU unit in mind, the interview was more general for critical care roles. I met with all the unit directors from the different ICUs. Each manager asked a couple of questions in turn. The whole thing was pretty quick. They didn't ask which specific unit I was interested in.
