I was first contacted by the hiring manager on LinkedIn. The first round was an interview with the hiring manager. The second round was an interview with the Lead PM and the head of product. The third round was an interview with the head of engineering.

It took about six weeks to get through several rounds of zoom and phone interviews. The whole process was kind of messy and disorganized. They postponed or canceled meetings several times, and we had to reschedule a bunch. But when the interviews did happen, they were pretty straightforward. Questions usually related to the specific department you were interviewing with. I started with an HR screen, then talked to a Product Manager for a specific decision, then the Head of Experiences, and the Head of Engineering. My last scheduled call with the Head of Product never actually happened.

Even though I had a good internship at Grab, interns don't get job offers directly. I had to reapply and go through the whole interview process. My old boss gave me a good recommendation, and my first two interviews went well. The last interview was bad though. The interviewer hadn't read my resume and didn't even know I'd interned there before. They kept cutting me off and asking case questions that didn't really relate to the job. I couldn't answer anything properly because they were so rude and kept interrupting. I didn't hear back for three weeks until I emailed HR, and then found out I was rejected, and they didn't even tell me. I'm really disappointed with how it all went down.
