Full Stack Engineer
First, there was a technical screen over skype which lasted about 40mins. They gave me a really simple problem that could be done in a few mins. I am actually quite puzzled over this. Next would be on-site interviews. Each interview is 1hr. One for backend and one for frontend. For backend, they will ask you to design REST API. For frontend, you need to code a website to display some data, and you can use any libraries or framework for it.
- Backend - Will ask you to design REST API
- Frontend - Code a website to display some data, you can use any libraries or framework for it
Full Stack Software Engineer
The first round involved three Leetcode questions, one easy and two medium. The difficulty level was high, and optimization was crucial because it affected the overall score. I scored 81% and advanced. Rounds two and three were conducted back-to-back. The first interview focused on frontend concepts, covering basic CSS and JS, which was simpler than expected. The second interview was backend-focused, primarily discussing my projects and how I scaled them, with a significant emphasis on my ML experience.
- Can you explain how to create a bar chart from user input representing percentages using frontend coding?
- For the backend coding interview, can you implement the validParentheses Leetcode question?
Full Stack Engineer
The interview process kicked off with an online test featuring three JavaScript coding challenges, one of which specifically involved React. This was followed by a live coding round with a senior engineer focusing on DSA. Next up was an engineering manager round which was a design discussion, and then a principal engineer round, also a design discussion. The HR was understanding and it took about a week after each stage to hear back. I was contacted about two months after the initial online test.
- Tell me about the challenges you've encountered on your current project.
