Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Grab.
Senior Associate
I interviewed with one of the corporate teams and it was an absolutely terrible process where the interviewer was condescending and unprofessional. I had to seek mental health support after the interview. The outcome of the entire interview was based purely on a few brain teasers. I felt that it was a very dehumanizing process - it seems like my attitude/motivations were not taken into consideration at all. I will not recommend anyone to considering interviewing for the team that I had applied to join.
- The interviewer will ask you some quick math questions or brain teasers.

Standard hiring procedure. HR phone call, case study, followed by 4 separate interviews. First interviewer was very disrespectful, doing her work and paying no attention throughout the interview. Understand that they might be busy, but it was an agreed upon time slot for the interview so shouldn’t be the interview be prioritised or otherwise, the interview could have been rescheduled if she had work to do??? Just thought that it was very very unprofessional and disrespectful. Also, there was no follow up on the interview , I was ignored when I sent in a follow up email to the HR. Overall a very unpleasant experience.
- What makes you want to join grab?
- Could you tell me what your understanding of the role is?

So, Grab's interview process usually has a few steps. First, you might have a screening call or an online test to see if you've got the basics. Then, depending on the job, there could be technical tests, coding tasks, or case studies. If you pass those, you'll interview with people on the team or the hiring manager, and they'll ask you technical and behavioral stuff. The last part is usually talking to higher-ups to check if you'll fit in and align with the company's vibe. They really want to see what you can do, what you've done, and what you could bring to the team.
- Can you tell me about your background related to this role?
