GPA General Intern Interview Questions
& Process

I applied for this program through 99jobs. It was quite a long process. I had my first interview in early December with HR, and it was very relaxed, with questions about my journey, my background, and what I enjoy doing. The next stage was an interview with the manager in mid-January. The manager explained the area, answered my questions, asked if I'd like to be part of the team, about my background, and why I applied for this role – all very relaxed and dynamic questions. Within a week, I received feedback that another manager wanted to meet me and scheduled an interview for the next business day. That interview was also very relaxed, with questions similar to those from the previous interviews with the manager and HR. The very next day, I got feedback via WhatsApp that I had passed the role, which was then formalized by email. All three interviews were very relaxed, the people were super friendly and interested in listening, and the questions were relevant to the role. I believe it's a good process.

The process started online via NEWIK, where I had to fill in my information and then complete some tests in logical reasoning, English, and Excel. After that, there was a digital interview where I answered questions while being filmed. These questions included why I wanted to work at GPA and to talk about my course. A few days later, I received a WhatsApp invitation for a group activity at GPA's headquarters. The activity was scheduled for 8:30 AM but started late, around 9:10 AM, with no explanation for the delay. We began with a video about GPA's history, benefits, and scale. Then, all candidates introduced themselves, mentioning their studies, desired internship sector, career goals, and thinking style. Next, we were divided into two groups to imagine we were in the Middle Ages and needed to create a fictional currency, producing specific amounts of different denominations using provided resources. The groups competed in solving riddles to earn more resources like colored pencils and scissors, while the other group had fewer options. Midway through, elements of each group were swapped, possibly leaders, and another riddle was presented for additional resources. At the end, each group presented their currency and answered questions like how it would circulate and why an investor would use it, emphasizing not just creation but also societal distribution in that era. They promised feedback for everyone but haven't sent any. The next phase, a panel with managers, has already started according to their timeline. Despite the delay and lack of feedback, I found it to be a good company.

Situações desconfortáveis podem surgir em entrevistas, especialmente quando a conversa foge do tema. Senti uma tensão quando me sentei com os entrevistadores. O cargo era um que eu queria muito e eu tinha me preparado para as perguntas certas. Mas o que aconteceu foi diferente. A sala estava cheia de pessoas sérias, mas conforme a entrevista avançava, comecei a me sentir desconfortável. As perguntas, em vez de serem sobre a vaga, pareciam aleatórias e desconexas. Cada pergunta fora de contexto era um obstáculo. Eu tentei manter a compostura e responder com confiança, mesmo quando as questões pareciam perdidas. O desconforto persistia. Foi um desafio ter tantas perguntas desconexas em uma entrevista que deveria ser sobre minhas qualificações. Cada pergunta sem nexo me lembrava como as entrevistas podem ser imprevisíveis. No final, apesar de desconfortável, foquei nas lições: adaptabilidade, pensar rápido sob pressão e perseverança. Saí me sentindo mais resiliente, pronto para o futuro.
