First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Govini.
Software Engineer
First, there was a recruiter alignment call, which was pretty basic, just asking why Govli. Then a virtual behavioral interview, where they asked some resume questions and mostly focused on cultural fit, and I also got to ask them a bunch of questions. After that, I had an in-person day with 5 interviews: 2 tech, 2 culture, and 1 with the CTO. The tech interviews involved some ambiguous problem-solving. Everyone was really nice and friendly. I enjoyed the process.
- Can you design an API for a small function?
Software Engineer
Started with an external recruiter reaching out to see if I was interested and to send info to the internal recruiter. Then I had a chat with the CTO where we did a deep dive on my past projects. The onsite interview was about 5 hours long. I met with a co-founder who had a really unique vibe but knew the industry inside and out. I got good feedback that day, but then they kinda strung me along and then just ghosted me in the end.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Govini?
- Can you solve a multi-dimensional array algorithm problem?
Software Engineer
I applied online and had a chat with the recruiter. Then I had a quick interview with the CTO, but they seemed really uninterested and distracted, asking super generic questions. Never heard back after that. It was pretty unprofessional.
- Tell me about your biggest weakness.
- Can you describe some projects you have worked on previously?
