Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Govini.
Recruiter
The recruiters were quick to communicate, professional, detailed and very friendly! The onsite series was long and slightly daunting because I met with some very high level people for a recruiting position, but to me that showed their value in the interview process and hires. Overall was an enjoyable experience
- What unique and different contributions can you make?
Technical Recruiter
I had a great interview process for the Senior Technical Recruiter job at Govini. It was well-organized and quick. Everyone I talked to was smart, interested, and really into Govini's mission in national security. The interviews checked both technical skills and how well I'd fit the team. They were very open and communicative. I felt like they really valued me as a candidate and I'm happy to be joining them.
- Why are you interested in working for Govini?
Technical Recruiter
First up was a recruiter call where they talked about the company and role, emphasizing it was full-time onsite and kinda shut down questions about flexibility. No real comp info, just vague stuff. Then, the hiring manager call was a repeat of the company/role overview, no technical dive or in-depth role discussion. They did mention needing to hire fast and guessed comp at $80K-$90K. I was told more onsite interviews were coming, or maybe an onsite with a tech challenge (which sounded weird, like doing it live in front of someone?) followed by leadership interviews. Got a generic rejection email a week later, saying they found someone who was a better fit. Ironically, they hired a contractor from a different time zone, even though they were so strict about the onsite requirement earlier. Definitely felt like they weren't serious or on the same page internally. Sharing this so others don't waste their time.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Have you worked in a data-related role before?
