I interviewed back in December 2022. The interviewer either forgot about me or genuinely couldn't make it because they were busy with something else. I had to message them while I was waiting in the video call. We ended up rescheduling. I thought it was pretty unprofessional. I thought I did well in the interview though. This was supposed to be a screening interview, which struck me as odd because they had already asked me these questions via email before they even agreed to set up a call. They didn't ask any technical questions. They said the hiring manager would reach out if they wanted to move forward, but I haven't heard anything since.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about a week and a half later. First, I had a quick call with the recruiter. Then, I had a longer phone call with the hiring manager. After that, I was given a sample case study.

Behavioral Technical

This startup is asking for way too much, almost on par with big tech. It involved a phone screen, a 1-hour hiring manager chat, a technical assessment, and then a 3-hour interview session for the third round. I didn't make it to a fourth round. This felt like excessive effort for a company that's ambitious but not massive. Additionally, one interviewer became increasingly blunt, hinting at dissatisfaction with my answers/background. Then, an automated rejection email arrived the next day. It's worth noting that parking is also quite expensive. While the recruiters and lower-level interviewers were great, the overall process was too long, and some staff were not very welcoming.
