The hiring process took over two months for me to get an update and find out I was shortlisted. I was then given a take-home assignment that was expected to be finished in a single weekend. When trying to attract top talent, a more proactive communication approach would really help make the process smoother. It was also quite strange that the automated updates about the position being filled actually shared the name of the candidate selected internally. That kind of information probably shouldn't be public.

So first there was a questionnaire, then a take-home policy briefing exercise. After that, I had an hour-long interview that used situational questions and the STAR method. Then, they contacted me with a short personal interview, and I got a verbal job offer. A week later, I got the written offer.
