It was pretty chill, the panel was relaxed and friendly. My laptop died mid-interview, but they were cool and let me extend the time. I ended up getting the job.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

Typically, you'll face two to three panel interviews. Sometimes a writing assignment or role-playing exercise is included. The interviews usually cover your knowledge of the government and the position, behavioral or situational questions, and technical questions. Some departments are better than others, it really depends on the manager and the type of work. Health and Human Services are probably the worst. Justice is better, but tough to get into. Justice interviews are harder and more technical than Human Services. Policy Analysts in Health have high turnover but move up the PS levels internally or laterally.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Applied online for a position advertised for recent grads from Alberta post-secondary institutions. About 2 months after applying, I was invited for an interview. Following the interview, there was a written test (a briefing note) administered. There were 2 people on the panel.
