Cyber Security Analyst
I put in my application with a cover letter and resume on March 11th, 2021. I got an email back to do some pre-candidate screening questions, which I submitted on March 14th. Then on March 23rd, I got an email to schedule an interview for April 8th, 2021. They offered me the job on April 12th, 2021. The Operations Manager, Clemence, was really helpful and patient during the whole hiring process! The interview itself went great, and the panel was nice and answered all my questions patiently.
- How do you prioritize tasks?
- Can you rank a list of potential threats?
- Analyze multiple firewall logs.
Cyber Security Analyst
The interview for the Cyber Security Analyst role was about 1.5 hours long. The job description seemed to align with L2 responsibilities, but the questions and discussion focused more on L3 aspects. We also talked about salary, the working hours which involve rotating shifts (7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM) and being on call. Unfortunately, I, along with other teammates from different parts of the world, did not get the job.
- Were there any technical questions, possibly related to L3 responsibilities?
Cyber Security Analyst
The interview included an online technical interview and some general questions to get to know you. There were also challenging questions about knowledge of systems, malware, CLI, etc. The process was smooth and nothing surprising or unexpected happened. It was a very comfortable experience.
- Could you explain what a worm is?
- How would you go about searching the CLI?
