A recruiter reached out about a new store opening, with a start date about two weeks out. The interview process was really messy and unorganized, not respecting candidates' time at all. Communication was all over the place, switching between email, links, and texts without any clear reason. I first got an email to schedule an interview for a job I hadn't even applied for, and then they asked me to apply after the fact. The first interview was super basic, mostly just about my availability. Later that same day, a different recruiter texted me to set up another interview. This second interview basically asked the same questions as the first one, which shows they weren't coordinating at all and I had to do the same work twice. During the second interview, they mentioned the training required full availability the next week with no wiggle room, and wouldn't discuss pay even though a range was posted. The whole interview felt rushed, and they didn't share important expectations until way late in the game. After both interviews, I heard nothing back, even though the job was supposed to start in about two weeks. When I finally asked for an update, I just got a generic rejection email. So, just a heads up, the hiring process might be all over the place with unclear communication, repeating interviews, unexpected demands, and not much transparency or follow-up.

It was a mess. They kept moving my interview around and setting me up for times that didn't work for me. Then they rescheduled my interview for just a few hours before without confirming if the new time was okay. They asked if I shopped with the brand first. I said no, but was about to explain my knowledge and appreciation for the company, but the recruiter seemed uninterested immediately. I guess if it's that important, they should state it in the application. She only asked three more questions, none of which were behavioral. It felt like they were just scheduling fake interviews. I then asked about the company's future direction for the next year, and she responded rudely, acting surprised I'd ask such a common question. She also mentioned they interview in groups and there were two groups already ahead of me, so I'd have to wait a week to hear back. Yet, they emailed me the next day to say I wasn't moving forward. It's clear it wasn't a good fit for either of us, but maybe they need better recruiters or shouldn't interview people they clearly don't want to hire.

The interview process at Gorjana was very straightforward and easy to navigate. The questions were simple, primarily focusing on basic background, experience, and availability. Communication was NOT prompt and I had to email to receive a response. Based on my observations and the overall environment, there appears to be a noticeable lack of diversity within the company. While my experience with the interviewer was polite and professional, I left with the impression that there may be significant room for improvement in fostering a more inclusive and diverse workplace culture.

It's your normal interview process but they are a bit picky. I felt like they asked some unnecessary questions but not invasive. It seems like they definitely want outgoing, talkative, and young employees.
