First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gordon & Rees.
Law Clerk
Had one remote interview that wasn't too long, under an hour. The interviewers were really nice and asked common resume and background questions. They seemed open to a hybrid work setup.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
Law Clerk
I talked to the hiring manager first, and then a partner interviewed me for a second round. I was already working at the firm when I was hired, and I was in my second year of law school, so I had enough experience to do legal research and writing.
- Can you explain your approach to tackling a legal issue?
- Describe how you would complete tasks according to the firm's established procedures.
Law Clerk
The interview was around 20-30 minutes long. The interviewer was really nice and approachable, asking typical behavioral questions. No special prep was needed beyond standard interview practices. An offer was extended a couple of weeks after the interview.
- Which practice area are you interested in, and what's your reasoning?
