After I walked into the store and asked if they were hiring, I was instructed to apply online. Two weeks later, I received a call to come in for an interview. The first interview was with an assistant manager, and it was a pretty standard page-by-page process. They asked questions like, "Have you ever corrected an employee for anything and give an example?" and "Give an example of how you've increased sales for a store." At the end, the assistant manager mentioned it would be discussed with the manager, and they'd call if interested. I got a second call and went in for another interview, this time with the manager. It followed basically the same format, with the manager using the same stack of pages, but they were also more conversational, getting a better feel for my personality. I was offered the job before we finished going through all the pages.

I went to a hiring event where they interviewed candidates. First, there was a short screening interview with someone. Then, I had a 45-minute interview with two people. After that, I had another 30-minute interview with two more people. It felt a bit much for a cashier job, but they were all nice. The whole thing took almost two hours, including the waiting.
