I applied to GFS and got a call the very next day for an interview. The interview felt pretty selective, as the interviewer gave me a blank look when I mentioned I only had a month of experience. I figured after that, it was probably not going to go well. The pay seems decent, but it can vary based on the route driven, mileage, weight, and so on. If you happen to pass the first interview, there's another one with the transportation manager, and you'll also need to do a road test.

I was really interested in this company because of the pay and benefits. I went to their office personally to apply. They didn't have any openings, but told me to check back. I did, in person, twice a week. When a position did open up, they gave me a call. The interview process wasn't complicated. It was just one on one. The people there were super friendly and personable, making me feel right at home from the start. It was a pretty relaxed environment, and the offices were very clean and organized. They really have a strong work ethic and culture. The only reason I left was because I became disabled. They're a great company to work for.
