Store Manager
The interview process kicked off with a phone call where they asked about my career path and aspirations, as well as customer service experience relevant to the role. After that, I had an in-person interview at one of the store locations, which lasted about an hour. We revisited many of the same topics from the phone screen but went into more detail about the job's responsibilities. It felt pretty relaxed, and I felt good about moving forward. I was told I'd hear from corporate HR and the district manager for the final stage, but that communication never occurred.
- What's prompting your career change?
Store Manager
It was an easy and quick process with 3 interviews: a recruiter, a DM, and a VP. It was one of the best interviews I've ever had. There were no typical 'tell me about a time' questions. I interviewed with a DM named Jason who gave me a chance to tell my story and asked a lot of probing questions based on my past performance. It was clear they wanted to hire the best. I did decline the offer, but it seems like a great company to work for.
- What obstacles do you face in achieving success?
Store Manager
The interview process was quite unusual. It began with an unexpected phone call on a Sunday morning, and they urgently wanted to meet. I went to the store that Sunday afternoon and spoke with the District Manager for about 20 minutes. We were then supposed to complete the interview over the phone. What started as one phone call turned into two, then four. Ultimately, after 9 days and approximately 8 phone calls, the process concluded. I'm still unsure if a job offer was made, and frankly, I'm leaning towards declining it. The supervisor seemed too disorganized.
- Could you tell me about your years of experience in sales management?
