It was smooth and not too hard, just simple and straightforward. There were four rounds with my direct boss and higher-ups. Some easy math was involved. Each interview was about 30 minutes, sometimes running a bit over.

Recruiter reached out for the role. First interview was with a senior manager, which went well. Second interview was with a younger person, unsure of their role. They asked open-ended questions and then challenged the answers. The questions were about best practices and seemed straightforward, but my answers weren't what they were looking for. They also threw in a critical thinking question unrelated to the job: 'if you were on Earth and walked in 3 specific directions'. Definitely don't want the position if that's who interviews managerial staff.

If you have prior experience in this area, the interview should be straightforward. The main things they'll be looking at are your KPI management skills and your people management abilities. Be ready to talk about what leadership means to you, how you ensure your team is accountable, and your methods for driving a productive culture in your stores.
