Applied online and got an email to set up a phone interview. I spoke with a Recruiter and then the hiring manager, both on the phone. They asked if I could do a virtual interview with more people at GoPro, but then mentioned there was a delay in the process. About 4 weeks later, I got an email saying I wasn't picked for the job. Not sure what happened, but the interview experience was good otherwise.

The interview process started with a phone call with a recruiter in the US. Then there was a conference call with the hiring manager. After that, I had an on-site interview in their Shanghai office with the head of sales & marketing, a recruiter, and the recruiting manager. The recruiting manager mentioned I'd be shortlisted for further interviews in the US, which would happen after two weeks. I followed up with the Shanghai recruiter after two weeks, and she said I was still in the running and needed to meet the Head of Engineering in China. Two weeks after that, I emailed for a follow-up and they replied they chose another candidate. It was a bit disorganized as there wasn't a single point of contact for updates. The initial recruiter I spoke with was no longer involved. I did feel that everyone I met was great and passionate about their work, but maybe this new company needs time to become more systematic.

The interview took place in a small office space within a Regus building. The company seems really cool. I interviewed with both a senior recruiter and a junior recruiter. The junior recruiter didn't seem to know a lot about the company, the open roles, or the technology they're hiring for, but the senior recruiter was very clear about everything. They use an internal ATS and don't use LinkedIn Recruiter.
