Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GoPro.
MBA Intern
It was a straightforward and consistent experience. The employees were pleasant. We started with HR for a phone screen. This typically involved questions like 'why GoPro?', 'why this role?', and 'walk through your resume'. The second round delved deeper into practical experience and assessed skill alignment for the summer project. Culture was really important, and they were definitely looking for industry experience. The process included a phone screen, then a 1:1 meeting, and finally a full day of interviews.
- What do you like best about GoPro?
Intern
Applied online, then had a phone screen where I spoke with a team member. Both HR and the team member were really nice and seemed engaged. I didn't hear back until I reached out to HR because I had another offer with a deadline. She took a while to tell me if I got the job, and after some back and forth via email, she called to let me know I didn't get it.
- What's your previous experience?
- Tell me about your experience studying abroad.
- What did you learn about this role?
Intern
I went through three interviews, including a general one and two technical ones. They weren't super formal. In the first interview, I talked about myself, my work experience, and why I was interested in the company. Then, I had technical interviews with three engineers where they asked about the skills and knowledge needed for their jobs.
- How do you see yourself contributing the most to our company?
