First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Goosehead Insurance.
Account Executive
The whole process took a few months but once it started it was quick. Overall, it was a good experience and I felt respected and heard.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
Account Executive
Had about 6 or 7 interviews, and everyone was really nice and helpful. They looked at different parts of my personality. It was a pretty standard corporate interview process. I got the job and I absolutely love it here! Management gives me a lot of support, and it's been a great experience.
- Could you role-play a sales scenario?
- Try to sell me on going on this vacation.
- Sell me on why you chose the university you attended.
Account Executive
I was contacted on LinkedIn initially by a recruiter, and after they rescheduled our call a bunch, we finally had a short phone call. Then we scheduled our first real interview over Microsoft Teams, which went pretty well. They told me I also had to make my own short "elevator pitch" video selling myself and why I'd be a good fit. They said this part was VERY IMPORTANT, so I spent a lot of time making sure it was perfect before sending it. I saw another review saying they were ghosted, but Goosehead responded saying they were sorry and wouldn't do that. But they did ghost me, and I never heard from them again. This was for the Dallas office. Luckily, I was also interviewing with another company that actually followed up with me. I think most companies don't do that, but this company clearly doesn't care about you. Check out the other horror stories in the reviews; maybe stay away.
- What makes you a strong salesperson?
