The interview process

Described in candidates’ own words.

I had a virtual onsite that had two coding interviews, one NLP interview, and one behavioral interview. Two of my interviewers didn’t show up, so I had to reschedule those interviews. After that, they asked me to do two more coding interviews. I felt there was not enough focus on my NLP background.Candidate-reported process
I was contacted by a third party recruiter who was representing Google for this role. They arranged a call and explained the role and the interview rounds to me. A total of 3 rounds were scheduled all at once, and all were supposed to happen on consecutive days.Candidate-reported process
Pros: Recruiter was very quick to respond and the culture comes off as collaborative. The behavioral interview was pleasant. Cons: The technical part felt a bit "vibe-based." I wanted more conversation on token optimization, latency, or API parameters, but it mainly centered on writing creative copy for a chatbot.Candidate-reported process
