Interviewing at Google was one of the most detailed processes I’ve gone through. Each stage felt carefully planned to assess not only technical skills, but also how I approach problems, how I collaborate, and how I fit with the culture. From the structured coding interviews to the behavioral chats, every step seemed deliberate and consistent. I liked how interviewers dug into my thought process, asking follow-up questions that checked depth of understanding instead of just surface-level knowledge. The cross-functional panel brought in varied viewpoints, making the process demanding but fair. Overall, it really showed Google’s focus on high standards and building well-rounded, impactful teams.

I got a phone call from a recruiter where I talked about my background, work experience and my experience with Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). After that we discussed scheduling interviews and I asked for a 1-month timeframe. The recruiter agreed and sent me a form by email to fill in my available dates. I already had 2.5 years of experience and I wanted to interview for L4 level. I chose to keep some time between the interviews, so that I can complete 3+ years of experience before the offer evaluation.
